This song has become especially meaningful to me because it speaks to something we all face: those moments when life doesn’t go the way we planned. Whether in family, ministry, or personal struggles, anxiety can quietly take hold of our hearts.
This past year, there was a young lady in our youth group who shared with my wife that she was struggling with anxiety. It was right around that time that God brought this song into my heart. It was a clear reminder to me that no matter our age or position, whether a pastor, assistant pastor, youth pastor, or a teenager, anxiety is something we all can face.
What makes this song so powerful is the reminder that we don’t have to carry those burdens alone. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we have access to the mercy seat. We can bring every fear, every worry, and lay it down before Him. I’ve seen in my own life how anxiety begins to fade when I truly place it in God’s hands. It’s not just a comforting thought; it’s a real promise.
