‘Til the Storm Passes By

One of the songs that will be released on this album, and one that is deeply personal to me, is “’Til the Storm Passes By.” Life is full of storms, and some of them feel overwhelming in the moment. But this song is a reminder that, through Christ, no storm lasts forever. He carries us through, and He holds us steady when everything around us feels uncertain.

This song also holds a special place in my heart because of my mom. When she traveled and sang with a group from Oklahoma Baptist College in 1993, this was one of the songs she sang. Years later, in 2016, she went home to be with the Lord after battling stage four cancer. Now, having the opportunity to sing lead on this song means more than I can fully express. Every time I sing it, I’m reminded not only of her but of the truth she lived. No matter how fierce the storm, God is faithful to carry us through.

My prayer is that these songs would be more than just music, but a source of comfort and encouragement. Whatever storm you may be facing right now, it will pass, and the same God who holds you in the valley will faithfully bring you through to the other side.
